IP
IP stands for internet protocol and has the task to send data from host to destination. IP address is a unique identifier used to identify a device on the internet or local network, IPv4 and IPv6 are the two protocols. There are four different types of IP addresses:
- Public: One for your home network assigned to your router by ISP
- Private: One for every device by your router
- Static: These do not change (server hosting, geo-caching)-
- Dynamic: Change over time and commonly used in home networks
